Scat Singing Workshop @ Culture Days

Parkdale Library, 1303 Queen Street West, Toronto

Ori Dagan grew up studying classical piano and upon hearing Ella Fitzgerald’s genius scat solos, decided to devote his life to jazz music. He began taking vocal lessons in his late teens and spent a decade studying voice formally at both York University (BFA 2007) where he studied jazz vocals and classical voice, and later at Humber College where he honed his skills as an improviser and songwriter. As an educator, Ori enjoys teaching privately and has had the pleasure of working with a variety of age groups, including workshops at elementary schools, universities and community centres. His philosophy is to expose each student to the inherent joy of jazz improvisation.

Ori Dagan was recently featured on blogTO as one of the Top 10 Singing Lessons in Toronto.

Workshop is from 12-1pm and is FREE!
