In The Can - Singers for Children's Aid Foundation
Event founder and Toronto songstress Melissa Lauren will be joined by national musical fixtures and friends such as Ori Dagan, Alex Pangman, Barbra Lica, Devin Cuddy, Genevieve Marentette, Murray Foster (Great Big Sea), and more for ‘In The Can: Singers for Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada'. The second annual event will feature each musician performing two songs, along with some surprise guests and a silent auction. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada. “The idea is to invite singers to debut, showcase or workshop, so to speak, something that’s on its way in or out of the studio,” says Melissa on the meaning of the name ‘In The Can’, whose event origins grew from her own candid and heart-bursting efforts.
